POSTED NOV. 11: Frankie, a 10 - 12 week old kitten, was rescued by HC yesterday, and brought into a vet clinic yesterday in very poor condition. When we found him he was covered in urine, feces, fleas, and his/her poor little bum is so swollen the vet cannot tell for sure the gender.
Can you offer this poor little kitten a loving place to get well and live out the rest of his/her life? If the answer is "yes". Please call 739-0077 and leave a message.
The following pictures are graphic and may be upsetting.

Frankie sitting -- protrusion from anus is clearly seen. We were worried about an anal prolapse.

Close-up shows large matted ball of feces hanging. We didn't know what we were dealing with at this point.

Another close-up shows signs of rampant infection.

Neglect or abuse? It's one and the same when an 8 wk old kitten ends up like this.

Frankie's a gorgeous baby. If left unattended, his/her death would have been drawn-out and horrid.

Although in great discomfort from the anal infection and protrusion, plus suffering from cat flu and worms, Frankie purrs and cuddles.

Just a baby.

Please help.

There's no reason for this.

Look at that face.

Look at that paw!
